We employ eco-design principles to create products with less environmental impact, and we’ve also developed a range of multi-material solutions formulated to deliver high performance with enhanced sustainability.
Introducing resolutions®
We created the label* resolutions® by Hutchinson to promote the environmental performance of the Group’s solutions. It is awarded only to those products that meet strict criteria related to environmental performance, including CO₂ reduction, weight savings, or products containing a significant proportion of recycled or bio-based materials. The resolutions® by Hutchinson label signifies our dedication to helping clients reduce their carbon footprint without compromising on quality or performance.
*This label is an environmental self-declaration (type II labeling) which meets the ISO14021 standard.
Our approach
All products awarded the resolutions® label deliver enhanced environmental performance, helping our clients to reduce weight, and lower their carbon emissions. Rigorous testing and analysis have been conducted on all resolutions® products to ensure they deliver the same impeccable quality and performance. A comparative multicriteria Life Cycle Assessment based on ISO 14040 and 14044 is conducted to accurately determine each product’s long-term carbon footprint. An internal committee then determines eligibility for the label, ensuring transparency and accountability.

Materials reuse
Hutchinson is pursuing an approach to increase the circularity of our products. We are developing technologies that will easily separate the materials that make up our products at the end of their life cycles. We collect end-of-life parts and recover certain components that we can reuse to manufacture new parts.
