On the 6th and 7th of June, the 507 Fab House hosted the International aircraft materials fire test forum meeting, organised by FAA* Tech Center.

This quarterly forum brings together major aircraft and cabin interior equipment manufacturers. The purpose is to discuss fire regulation themes applicable to aircraft cabins: the improvement of current standards and proposals for new regulations for improving aircraft safety.

For more than 15 years, Hutchinson has participated in this forum because of its fire testing activity and is therefore involved in international round-robin testing programs. The participation of Hutchinson in this event helps it to orient its development and innovation activities, being always on the look-out for future regulatory trends proposed by the authorities.

A good knowledge of all fire regulations applicable to aircraft cabins allows Hutchinson to be an expert authority recognized by the biggest names in aeronautics.

* FAA - Federal Aviation Administration - is a government agency responsible for regulations and inspections applicable to civil aviation in the United States.
